100% Vicuna Scarf - Horizontal Fringes

100% Vicuna Scarf - Horizontal Fringes

Beautiful woven scarf made from 100% Vicuna. This is a variation of our standard Vicuna scarf - it has horizontal fringes that run along the length of the scarf as opposed to vertical fringes.

Length: 11.8 inches, Width: 59.1 inches, Weight: 5.1 ounces

This scarf comes in a wooden box and includes a hand-numbered and signed card guaranteeing the fiber came from government-controlled shearing operations. Vicunas may only be sheared every two years and produce a small amount of fiber, increasing the rarity of this beautiful product. In Inca times, only royalty could wear such amazing fiber. Limited quantities of fiber are available each year adding to the mystique of this amazing animal.

Why Can a Vicuña Jacket Cost up to $21,000?

Once reserved exclusively for royalty, Vicuna fiber, with its gorgeous golden color, is considered the finest natural fiber in the world. In the 20th century, Marlene Dietrich, Nat King Cole and Greta Garbo valued the incredibly soft touch of Vicuña.
